A Storyline Original Sermon Series

We live in a world defined by power dynamics. Certainly you’ve noticed. In fact, you possess power and you exercise it. So does everybody else. But not all forms of power are the same. There is muscular power, political power, economic power. Violence is a kind of power, as is manipulation. But there is one power more powerful than all others.

In the book of Ephesians, the apostle Paul unpacks what he calls “the power that works in us.” In this message series, titled Power Dynamics, we will explore what Paul has to say about evil forms of power in contrast to the kind of power that God employs to transform our lives and advance His kingdom in this world.

Come along with us on this Ephesians journey. It’s going to be exciting. As we dig into the most astonishing truths the human mind can contemplate, our minds will expand, our hearts will become more sensitive, and the power dynamics of our lives will become more beautiful.

BOOK:  The Perfect Prayer by Taylor Bunch

The Perfect Prayer: The purpose of prayer is to unite man with God. Since a prayer life cannot be transferred to another, Jesus did the only thing possible—He gave His disciples the form of a model prayer. Jesus intended it only as a model or pattern to guide them in making their requests known to God. It contains seven separate petitions—symbolizing its completeness and perfection.
